It is with deep sadness that the members of the North Coast Fossil Club mourn the passing of longtime member Steve Cole. Steve passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2020 at the age of 74.
Steve was the beloved husband of Donna for 42 years. For Steve, family was most important. He deeply loved all the members of his family.
Members of the North Coast Fossil Club will fondly remember Steve from our January Banquets and July Picnics. At the Picnics in July, Steve always volunteered to help with cooking the food.
Even though Steve might not have had the same keen interest and enthusiasm for looking for fossils as did his wife Donna, Steve was very much interested in fossil geology and greatly enjoyed the fossils that Donna brought home. Steve was always

supportive of Donna's fossil collecting trips and associated events.
Steve was a most interesting person to converse with on many topics. Steve had a deep love and knowledge of the history of trains and steam engines.
Steve owned and operated his own advertising company that focused mainly on motor sports and automotive after-market products.
Steve's great love for motor sports mostly centered upon auto related topics such as Formula 1 Racing, NASCAR, and NHRA Drag Racing.
